Terms & Conditions
Last updated: 12 August 2026 · Version 1.0
These terms govern your use of the OptWheel website, desktop application and web application (together, the "Service"), operated by Compass Innovation Limited, registered in England and Wales (company number 17126026, registered office 5 Argyle Street, Bath, BA2 4BA, United Kingdom) ("we", "us"). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these terms.
1. What OptWheel is — and is not
- OptWheel is an educational analytics platform for options strategies. It provides generic calculators, screeners, simulations, monitoring and paper-trading tools, together with educational content.
- OptWheel does not provide investment advice, personal recommendations, portfolio management or order execution. Its outputs are generic: identical inputs produce identical outputs for every user, and nothing in the Service takes account of your personal circumstances.
- We are not authorised or regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority and nothing in the Service constitutes a regulated activity carried on by us.
- All trading decisions are yours alone, executed through your own broker at your own risk. If you are unsure whether options trading is suitable for you, consult an independent financial adviser authorised by the FCA.
2. Risk warning
Options trading involves substantial risk of loss and is not suitable for everyone. Selling cash-secured puts exposes you to the full downside of the underlying below the strike; covered calls cap your upside. Losses can substantially exceed the premium received. High historical win rates do not indicate safety. Past performance, simulated results and backtests do not predict future outcomes. Never trade with money you cannot afford to lose.
3. Eligibility and accounts
- You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract.
- You must provide accurate account information and keep your credentials secure. You are responsible for activity under your account.
- One account per person; accounts are personal and non-transferable.
4. Plans, billing and cancellation
- Free features are provided without charge. Paid plans ("Core", "Pro") are billed in advance, monthly or annually, at the prices shown at purchase, via our payment provider Stripe. Prices include VAT where applicable.
- Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel at any time from your account menu; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and you keep access until then.
- Cooling-off: if you are a consumer in the UK or EU you have a statutory 14-day right to cancel a subscription. By requesting immediate access to paid features you acknowledge that if you cancel within the 14 days we may deduct a proportionate charge for the period already supplied; once the digital content has been fully delivered with your express consent, the right may be lost to the extent permitted by law. Refunds beyond statutory rights are at our discretion.
- We may change prices with at least 30 days' notice; changes apply from your next renewal, and you may cancel before they take effect.
5. Beta versions
Features or builds identified as "beta" are pre-release software provided for evaluation. They may contain errors, may change or stop working without notice, and may include a time-limited expiry after which the build ceases to function. Beta builds are provided "as is" and may not be redistributed.
6. Market data
- Quotes and option-chain data are sourced from third-party public sources, are typically delayed, and are provided for information only, without warranty of accuracy, completeness or availability.
- Model-derived values (theoretical premiums, Greeks, probabilities, backtests, simulations) are estimates produced by documented mathematical models and can differ materially from market reality.
- Always verify prices with your broker before trading. We may change or discontinue data sources at any time.
7. Acceptable use
You must not: (a) resell, redistribute or provide the Service or its data to third parties; (b) scrape, harvest or programmatically extract data at abusive volumes, or use the data proxy for anything other than the app's intended operation; (c) reverse-engineer, decompile or circumvent technical or licensing protections, except to the extent permitted by law; (d) use the Service unlawfully or to infringe others' rights; (e) share account credentials.
8. Intellectual property
The Service — including its software, design, methodology documentation, course content and branding — is owned by us or our licensors and protected by copyright, database and trademark rights. © 2026 Compass Innovation Limited. All rights reserved. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the Service for your own non-commercial purposes while your account is in good standing. No other rights are granted. Data you store locally (positions, watchlists, notes) remains yours.
9. Availability and changes
The Service is provided on an "as available" basis. We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted operation, and we may modify, suspend or withdraw features (including where a third-party data source changes or a beta period ends). Material adverse changes to paid features will be notified, and if you are on a paid plan you may cancel with a pro-rata refund of any prepaid, undelivered period.
10. Liability
- Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
- Subject to the above, we are not liable for: trading or investment losses of any kind; loss of profit, revenue or data; or losses arising from inaccurate, delayed or unavailable market data or model outputs.
- Subject to the above, our total aggregate liability to you in any 12-month period is limited to the amounts you paid us for the Service in that period (or £50 if you have paid nothing).
- If you use the Service as a consumer, your statutory rights are unaffected.
11. Termination
You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that materially breach these terms (including abuse of the data service or non-payment), giving notice where practicable. Sections 2, 6, 8 and 10 survive termination.
12. General
- We may update these terms; material changes will be notified at least 14 days before they take effect, and continued use after that constitutes acceptance.
- These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction (consumers in Scotland, Northern Ireland or the EU retain any mandatory local rights and venues).
- If any provision is found unenforceable, the remainder continues in force. These terms, together with the Privacy & Cookies Policy, are the entire agreement between us regarding the Service.
